Stan James affiliates both old and new – This is important and time sensitive information for you!
Stan James has approached the Gambling Affiliates Union to help them inform affiliates both old and new of their imminent migration. As the GAU is determined to assist affiliates in the gambling industry we agreed to cooperate with Stan James by reporting the facts to our members.
By doing so the GAU is not rubber stamping Stan James as a GAU supported program, at present the GAU remains completely unbiased in any way and will do so until such time as we are in a position to endorse the program. A benefit from helping Stan James inform affiliates of the migration is that Stan James has agreed to discuss their contract terms with the GAU. Stan James will consider arbitration with the GAU in appropriate circumstances.
Here are the full details of the migration process and the new commission structures.
Stan James will be migrating to a new Income Access platform on December the 1st 2009. The new affiliate home page and platform is available to new affiliates that sign up from now on. Stan James will migrate all live accounts automatically on the 1st of December; however, dead accounts will not be migrated.
Please note that the new structure is not retrospective and all existing affiliates who presently benefit from 30% commission will continue to do so. Furthermore, all existing affiliates will be able to increase their commissions on a performance based model, without the risk of them ever being reduced below their current 30%.

Some affiliates will automatically rise to 35% if they continue to perform at their current levels. Movements up and down the scale will be based on a cycle of 3 month reviews for both new and existing affiliates.
The new structure will be for all new affiliates and although Stan James are applying a quota, this will not mean that inactivity or failure to bring new players will stop affiliates earning, These tiers are not a requirement for payment, but only a requirement for advancement.
Quota’s are not good in any sense, however, when specified up front and not completely devoiding earnings then they must surely be seen as acceptable.
Like many other programs, Stan James has many dead accounts, accounts that have never sent a player and Stan James has agreed with the GAU request to email all dead account holders informing them of this migration, they will then be allowed to request that they be migrated along with the active accounts when migration takes place, keeping the old 30% minimum rate. Stan James classes dead accounts as ones which have never delivered a player, a click, or an impression and are not earning on a monthly basis, therefore, if you have active players or previous earnings with Stan James you will auto migrate and have nothing to worry about. By doing this Stan James are allowing affiliates that have an account but have not yet started to promote or been successful the chance to migrate and keep the 30% level.
Overall, although these changes see a quota rule being implemented the whole change seems to be a fair and reasonable attempt by Stan James to make them a fair and helpful program to work with.
Anthony Hodgetts has stressed to the GAU that these changes are the work of the affiliate team at Stan James and not forced upon them by upper management or shareholders. He further commented that they hope it will see a happy return for some affiliates that have been unable to work with them due to issues from the past and is prepared to discuss the migration and any other issues either directly or through the Gambling Affiliates Union. He hopes that the affiliate community can see that Stan James is turning more and more affiliate friendly as time goes on.
The GAU asked if it was possible to extend the deadline past the 1st of December, however, this was not possible. Stan James have, however, agreed to look at any individual affiliate after this point on a case by case basis and will sympathetically deal with them as and when the time arises.
The GAU have noted, that by allowing us to inform our members of this migration, Stan James have been open and clear.
We urge all our members that wish to be migrated, however, fit in to the ‘inactive’ category, to make sure that their email address is current and look out for contact from Stan James.
Should any affiliate have any questions regarding the Stan James migration and changes, please either contact them direct, look out for our post on the GPWA regarding the subject or contact the GAU directly.
The GAU will of course listen to its members on the subject and also consider any observations made by any of the other organisations.
If you wish to contact Stan James about anything in this report or wish to discuss the migration and how it will affect you then Stan James ask that you contact them using affiliates [@] stanjamesaffiliates.com.
